Day 106 and 107 - Transition time

March 1-2 - Atenas, Costa Rica

With little plans, we were grateful for this “transition” time, relaxing a bit and hanging out with family, cooking real meals again, experimenting with Costa Rican fruits and veggies, such as coyote squash, plantains, and yucca.  We played card games, went for walks, ran every morning, visited the fresh fruits/veggies market.
Above is the view from our window before 6 AM.  Michaela and I would be up early and get to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee with Shelly.

Shelly introduced us to this fruit and we picked some to try!

The cows have long ears that stick out.

We cooked a lot, I learned how to make corn tortillas by hand, and Evan enjoyed making margaritas with fresh lime juice.
