Day 18 - On to Cerro Torre

December 1  Los glaciares parque nacional, Argentina

We woke for sunrise, joining Scott at the lake. The light was lovely, and we embraced it until the sun rose higher.  We packed up camp and headed on to our next location.  Due to a little water mishap, we needed a quick trip back to town, so we walked to the fork in the road where we'd continue to our next campsite, Evan and Scott left me with the packs to read my book in the sun, and they jogged back to town to grab a memory card.  Of course while there, they picked up two boxes of wine, a few croissants, and sandwiches.  #roughingit

The boys returned, exhausted, after their extra 10 km hike/run.  We continued on to Camp Agonistini, near Cerro Torre.  We set up camp then found a big rock up on a hill to enjoy the sun and the view of the towers.  We sipped on wine and chatted with an Australian climber.

We made dinner of rice and soup mix, then walked on to the lake to scope out the shore up close, and assess the sunrise potential.

We headed back to the tents.  The boys were pooped after their added mileage, so we retired relatively early.
