Day 37 - Bed and breakfast
December 22 - Puerto Varas, Chile
We stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast, run by an eager, compassionate Chilean family. They hosted a lovely breakfast - in typical Chilean fashion, bottomless discs of white bread, salami, cheese, liquid yogurt, instant coffee and tea. The instant coffee was something better than Nescafe, so I gave it a try, rather than be "that girl" and pull out my little pour over setup.
With Wi-fi flowing, we spent some time catching up, then went for a run to a park in the town that is up on a giant hill. It was great for trail running (but actually for mountain bikes), with varying steepness and length.
We went out to dinner at La Barista, a little cafe that was hosting live music. The place was buzzing and the food was great. The acoustic guitarist serenaded us with American covers, mostly Radiohead, including "Creep" with a perfectly mimicked accent.
