Day 50 - Rain Rain Go away
January 4 - Pucón, Chile
The rain was unforgiving, keeping the hostel buzzing with cooped up guests. We did some work in the morning, then walked and ate at a delicious vegetarian place. Evan of course had the burrito, and I had the special, which was a potatoes and veggie mix with cheese. The rain had let up so we decided to go for a run. At approximately our turnaround point, the rain started pouring down and we were SOAKED.
Evan bonded with a mother and her daughter over dominoes. They found him quite funny. We made fajitas for dinner, and continued chatting with the mother/daughter duo from Santiago. They spoke slow for us and explained things, and we had conversations about everything from bullying (her daughter had changed school 7 times!) to supporting adult children (her son was apparently not a very nice person).
