Day 57- Feel the heat!

January 11 - Pucon, Chile

Super super hot day, so we took it pretty easy!  Typical morning routine.  We ate a lunch of leftover pasta from the hosts girlfriend with a meat sauce.  Quite delicious.  We debated a hike, but the sun was brutal, so we opted for the beach.  At the lake, they were setting up for the Ironman competition happening in a few days.  You could see swimmers out swimming the route.  I swam a bit to stay cool – the black sand is brutal on the feet!   We then went to a café to make a plan made for our next part of our trip, which starts with a bus ride north to Santiago, Chile.  We shared a smoothie and espresso to buy our over-stayed welcome and wifi use.  After we returned home, I headed to Zumba class at the nearby gym and had a blast.  We caught sunrise at the lake, then we made a delicious meal of leftovers.

Also, side note, they are famous for crafting flowers out of wood here. Aren't these amazing!! They look real!  And when you touch them they are rigid.  So cool.  If only I had a bigger bag...
